Full Job Description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Underwriting Specialist

Position type: Contract, Fulltime

Location: Broomfield, CO 80021

Duration: 06+ months

Shift: 9 AM – 5 PM

Schedule: Will be required to work onsite 3 days a week; 40 hours per week

As Underwriting Specialist, you will:

We are seeking a motivated Underwriting Specialist to join our team in an entry-level capacity. This role offers a clear growth path into advanced underwriting and related positions. The specialist will begin with foundational underwriting tasks, working closely with senior team members to gain authority through training, reviewed work, and performance interviews.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform entry-level underwriting tasks including binds, endorsements, and cancellations.

· Manage workflow from queue and Outlook book, ensuring timely processing.

· Triage and route emails within a shared inbox for proper handling.

· Participate in side-by-side training, progressing to independent work once authority is gained.

· Support team operations in a production environment with accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualifications

· Background in insurance underwriting or as an Underwriting Assistant preferred.

· Experience in a production environment with strong attention to detail.

· Analytical mindset with ability to assess and process information effectively.

· Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

Soft Skills

· Demonstrated dedication and commitment to learning.

· Ability to fit into a diverse team and collaborate effectively.

· Self-sufficient, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.

Pay Range*: $22- $25 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
