Overview

ARE Solar is hiring an experienced solar sales consultant in Denver.

You will run consultations with homeowners and businesses across the Front Range. You will design the right system with them and close the sale. This is consultative selling. The work and the science do the convincing.

We are looking for someone who already knows this trade. You should bring your own expertise. A NABCEP Technical Sales certification is welcome, not required.

What makes this a good seat

We install our own work: ARE designs, permits, installs, inspects, and turns on every system we sell. When you tell a homeowner we will do the work right, you are telling the truth. Every system gets turned on.
The leads come to us: Our pipeline is built on organic search, referrals, and word of mouth. Custom home builders across the Front Range bring us their projects. Homeowners now research solar through AI tools, and those tools recommend us. You will spend your time selling our solar installation services, not knocking on doors, or chasing paid leads.
The financing helps people buy: We offer pre-paid leasing and energy service agreements alongside cash and loans. These options lower what a system costs the customer. They open doors that a loan-only shop cannot open.
Easy sell: The expertise is in the building. Master electricians, seasoned installers, and company leaders, a team that knows Colorado code. If you do not have an answer on the spot, someone here does, and you will have it before the customer decides.

Responsibilities

Consultation: Sit with homeowners. Understand the house, the bill, and the goal. Qualify honestly.
Design and proposal: Build proposals for the roof and site for a real life fit. The system we sell is the system that gets installed.
Financing: Present cash, loan, pre-paid lease, and energy service agreements clearly. Match the option to the customer.
Objections: Handle them with facts. Shift the conversation from price to risk. Snow load, wind, hail, permitting — Colorado conditions are real, and they are your ground.
Closing: Own the sale from the first conversation to the signed agreement.
Handoff: Hand the job to our operations team cleanly and completely.
Pipeline: Manage your own follow-up in the CRM. Work referrals and repeat business.

Qualifications

Experience: A proven record of closing solar or in-home sales. Consultative selling, not pressure selling.
Solar knowledge: Working familiarity with PV, batteries, inverters, and financing structures.
Communication: You can explain a technical thing without making anyone feel small.
Temperament: Calm, direct, and unhurried. You do not oversell or overpromise.
Self-direction: You manage your own pipeline and your own week.
Logistics: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
