Entry-Level Staff Accountant

Location: Golden, CO (On-site)
Reports To: Director of Finance & Administration
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Well Master Corporation is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our team in Golden, Colorado. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent accounting graduate to begin their career in a hands-on accounting role. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and internship or other relevant accounting experience are encouraged to apply.

Working closely with the Director of Finance & Administration, you will gain experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, sales tax, and ERP systems while building a strong foundation for a successful accounting career. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, including three-way matching for inventory purchases.
Review vendor statements and reconcile vendor accounts.
Prepare weekly accounts payable payments and process checks.
Set up and maintain vendor records in the ERP system.
Record customer payments accurately and prepare bank deposits.
Assist with collections on outstanding customer accounts.
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close.
Maintain fixed asset records and process monthly depreciation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual multi-state sales tax filings.
Create and distribute daily and monthly sales reports.
Assist with annual audit preparation and management reporting.
Upload invoices to customer accounts payable portals.
Provide backup support for order entry, reception, and other administrative functions as needed.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred

Accounting internship or up to one year of accounting experience.
Experience using an ERP system (NetSuite preferred but not required).
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or reconciliations through internships, coursework, or prior employment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $58,000–$68,000 annually, depending on education, internship experience, skills, and qualifications.
