Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Saw Operator to join our team in a dynamic warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in heavy equipment operation. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating various saws to cut materials according to specifications while ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Duties

Operate saws and other cutting equipment to process materials as per production requirements.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on saws and related machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and moving items as needed within the distribution center.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
Assist in training new employees on safe equipment operation and material handling procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with saws or similar machinery.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Familiarity with materials handling processes within a warehouse or distribution center setting.
Experience operating order pickers or cherry pickers is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
