This position is located in our Fairfax, VA, Ballston, VA, Lebanon, VA, Austin, TX, Belton, TX, Lafayette, LA, or Knoxville, TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Day to day activities include designing, building, testing and maintaining interface software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel. Additional responsibilities include:
Working closely with subject matter experts to interpret requirements and translate to software solutions
Participate in technical meetings with client technical specialists and stakeholders
Provide support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolution
Participate in the Agile process
Support the maintenance of interface design and interface control documents or other applicable documentation
Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers on the team
.Minimum of 5 years of experience with Java application development
.Experience with Java technologies and open source tooling
.Experience with multithreading
.Experience with Apache Camel and Spring Boot
.Experience with SOAP/RESTful web service technologies and related security
.Proficient with Git
.Proficient with Maven and POM structure
.Proficient with Oracle (JDBC or equivalent, SQL)
.Experience working in an Agile environment
.Strong communication skills with ability to work with and advise client leadership
.Ability to work independently and to multitask in a fast paced environment
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
.Experience building integrations
.Experience building reusable frameworks
.Experience securing data both in transit and at rest (data encryption, certs, TLS, HTTPS)
.Experience with Docker and containerization
.Experience with Java version migrations (specifically to Jakarta EE)
.Familiarity with Red Hat EAP
.Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
.Experience with the federal financial domain and/or federal financial ERP solutions
.Experience with DevSecOps and Jenkins pipeline creation/maintenance

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $194,000.00.
