Elite Surface Infrastructure Overview
Elite Surface Infrastructure (ESI) is a growing company located in Englewood Colorado and has been working along the Colorado front range since 1998. ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.
This is a primarily remote position, with occasional travel to job sites in the market. In this role, you will be utilizing the latest software to produce 3D surface models for GPS machine control and construction layout equipment. Our modelers bridge the gap between design and construction to provide our clients with the data they need to get the best productivity out of their technology.
Job Responsibilities:
You will work directly with several different departments and provide models and assistance to field crews. You will be responsible for accurate data and making sure the information is translated to equipment properly. You will train field crews to operate the equipment properly. You will also make sure equipment machine controls are calibrated and working properly
Additional Duties: Perform any additional duties needed as issued by the VP of Operations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or associate degree in construction or civil Engineering desired, or equivalent heavy civil work or surveyor experience
Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years’ experience building 3D surfaces with Trimble Business Center, Carlson Civil, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation in Roads, or Terra model
Experience with Trimble, Topcon, Leica machine control and construction layout equipment a strong plus
Knowledge of and ability to read construction plans
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines in a remote work environment

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
Current (within 3 years of hire date) Federal OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (or completion of the course within 60 days of employment)
