Location: Denver, CO

ROLE: Site Safety Leader

Job Summary:

The Site Safety Leader at Covert Nutra directs environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring plant compliance with OSHA, FDA, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). They oversee hazard communication for various ingredients, cleaning chemicals, leading incident investigations, safety training, and risk assessments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Plans, implements, manages and maintains comprehensive safety & environmental health programs at all company locations.

· Collaborates with management to develop an emergency action plan and serves as the primary contact for site injury and incident notification, investigation and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities,

· Hazard management: Assess risks related to powder blending, gummy manufacturing machinery, cleanroom chemical exposure, and material handling equipment.

· Training & audits: Conduct routine plant safety inspections, ergonomic reviews, and interactive employee safety training.

· Incident response: Lead near-miss and injury investigations, work with senior management on workers' compensation claims, and implement root-cause corrective actions.

· Documentation: Keep accurate OSHA 300 logs, update safety standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manage safety data sheets (SDS).

Education and Experience:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science field - Preferred.

· Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on EHS experience, preferably within food, pharmaceutical, or supplement manufacturing.

· Knowledge: Deep understanding of HACCP principles, machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), FDA guidelines, GMP guidelines .

· Certifications: Preferred credentials include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
