We are looking for an experienced Director of Security who can lead a team of Security Officers while building strong relationships with our client and ensuring the highest standards of service are consistently delivered.
The Director of Security is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and oversight of the security team assigned to a designated client account.
The Director of Security is expected to lead by example, maintain strong communication, ensure officers follow post orders and Company policies, and proactively identify opportunities to improve security operations and customer service.
The ideal candidate is a confident and professional leader who can hold officers accountable while also developing positive working relationships with the team.

Provide daily leadership and direction to assigned Security Officers.

Ensure officers report to their assigned posts on time, in proper uniform, and prepared for duty.

Conduct regular officer checkins and site inspections.

Monitor officer performance, attendance, appearance, professionalism, and adherence to post orders.

Coach, mentor, and develop Security Officers to improve performance and customer service.

Address performance concerns promptly and communicate significant issues to management.

Recognize and reinforce strong performance and positive customer service.

Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all team members.

Serve as a professional point of contact for the client regarding daily security operations.

Build and maintain a strong relationship with property management, tenants, client representatives, and other key stakeholders.

Conduct regular communication with the client regarding staffing, incidents, security concerns, and operational updates.

Respond promptly and professionally to client requests and concerns.
-
Proactively identify security or service issues before they become larger concerns.

Ensure all Security Officers understand and follow sitespecific post orders and procedures.

Conduct routine security inspections and patrols.
-
Monitor access control, CCTV, alarms, and other security systems as applicable.

Ensure officers properly document incidents, activities, and security concerns.

Review incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and professionalism.

Respond to significant incidents and emergencies as required.

Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, EMS, property management, and other emergency personnel when appropriate.

Ensure appropriate notifications are made following incidents or emergencies.

Assist with scheduling and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

Identify staffing shortages and communicate coverage concerns immediately.

Assist with finding qualified coverage for calloffs and unexpected absences.

Monitor attendance and identify recurring attendance issues.

Assist with onboarding and training new Security Officers assigned to the account.

Help ensure all required certifications, licenses, training, and credentials remain current.

Assist with new officer orientation and sitespecific training.
-
Provide coaching and ongoing training to Security Officers.

Reinforce customer service and hospitality expectations.
-
Conduct or assist with postorder training and policy reviews.
-
Identify training opportunities based on officer performance, incidents, or client feedback.
-
Maintain accurate training documentation.
-
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports as required.
-
Review officer activity reports and incident reports.
-
Maintain accurate records regarding attendance, staffing, training, incidents, and performance.

Communicate important operational information to the Account Manager and Operations Manager.

Participate in management meetings and client meetings as requested.
-
Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Hospitality & Customer Service Expectations
The Director of Security is expected to lead by example and ensure that every officer understands that they are often the first and last person a tenant or visitor interacts with at the property.

Minimum of 2 years of security experience, preferably in a commercial, Class A office, corporate, hospitality, or similar environment.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.

Experience managing or leading a team of Security Officers.

Must meet all applicable requirements to work as a security professional in Denver, Colorado.

Must obtain and maintain any required security license or registration applicable to the position.

Must maintain any required certifications throughout employment.

Must be available to work the assigned schedule and respond to operational needs as required.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to conduct routine patrols throughout a commercial property.
