About the Role
The Processing & Servicing Specialist is a key member of the Lending team, supporting the full lending lifecycle from loan processing and documentation through collateral management and ongoing servicing.
You’ll help ensure loan files are complete and compliant, collateral interests are properly perfected, servicing requests are handled accurately, and members receive timely, professional support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to be an essential part of a successful lending team.
What You’ll DoCollateral & Title Administration
- Manage lien perfection for automobile, recreational vehicle, and real estate loans.
- Process lien filings, lien releases, title transfers, and other collateral maintenance activities.
- Track and resolve outstanding title, lien, and collateral exceptions.
- Maintain vehicle title vaults and accurate collateral records.
- Obtain collateral valuations and payoff information as needed.
- Coordinate with government agencies, title companies, vendors, and other service providers.
- Process payments to appraisal, title, and related vendors.
- Balance applicable general ledger accounts associated with title and collateral functions.
Loan Processing
- Support consumer, indirect, real estate, home equity, and other lending activities.
- Pull credit reports and calculate debt-to-income ratios.
- Obtain collateral valuations and prepare loan requests for decisioning.
- Provide backup support to Loan Officers during periods of high volume or absence.
- Process loan add-ons, modifications, and related documentation.
- Review and process indirect loan packages.
- Follow up on outstanding conditions and documentation requirements.
- Keep members informed about loan status and any additional information needed.
Documentation & Quality Control
- Review loan files to ensure they are complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Verify closing packages, disclosures, collateral requirements, and supporting documentation.
- Scan, index, and maintain electronic loan files.
- Maintain organized loan records and ensure proper retention and retrieval.
- Identify and resolve documentation exceptions and deficiencies.
- Perform post-closing quality control reviews to verify proper documentation, lien perfection, and policy compliance.
Loan Servicing
- Process loan maintenance requests such as payment corrections, due date changes, ACH updates, and account research.
- Administer CPI insurance, GAP products, warranty validation, and refunds.
- Maintain HELOC portfolios, including line maintenance, rate changes, renewals, and term-outs.
- Support indirect lending funding and dealer-related servicing.
- Assist with escrow administration and annual escrow analysis.
- Prepare servicing notices, correspondence, reports, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate loan and servicing records.
- Coordinate with vendors, recovery agencies, title companies, attorneys, and other service providers.
- Prepare repossession-related documentation when needed.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Follow Credit Union policies, lending procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Help ensure compliance with NCUA regulations and applicable lending requirements, including ECOA, FCRA, Fair Lending, Regulation Z, HMDA, Flood Regulations, and BSA/AML.
- Protect confidential member information and follow information security standards.
- Assist with audits, examinations, HMDA validation, and regulatory reporting.
- Identify and escalate documentation discrepancies, potential fraud, suspicious activity, and compliance concerns.
Member Service & Team Support
- Provide friendly, responsive support to members with questions about loans, titles, payoffs, insurance products, and documentation.
- Provide loan applications and supporting information to members and prospective members.
- Look for appropriate opportunities to introduce members to other Credit Union products and services.
- Provide backup support for new account opening when needed.
- Meet established service and processing standards.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Provide rotating phone support during Saturday business hours.
- Perform other duties as needed to support Lending and Credit Union operations.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in banking, credit unions, lending, loan processing, loan servicing, title administration, or a related financial services environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive financial information.
- Ability to understand and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with consumer, indirect, real estate, home equity, or HELOC lending.
- Experience with lien perfection, title processing, or collateral administration.
- Experience with loan documentation or post-closing quality control.
- Knowledge of Credit Union lending practices and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with loan origination, core processing, or document imaging systems.
