Full Job Description

On-Site | Centennial, Colorado

Kapella Group is a growing commercial construction and roofing company with ambitious growth plans. We are looking for a hands-on Talent Acquisition & HR Manager who can personally find, engage, recruit, and close high-performing people while helping strengthen the HR infrastructure supporting our growth.

This is not a position for someone whose recruiting strategy is primarily posting jobs and waiting for applications.

We need a recruiting hunter who knows how to identify passive candidates, build relationships, develop pipelines for difficult-to-fill positions, and consistently deliver qualified candidates to leadership.

This is an on-site leadership position at our Centennial, Colorado office. Candidates seeking a primarily remote or hybrid position should not apply.

What You'll OwnTalent Acquisition – Primary Focus

You will personally lead recruiting for critical leadership, construction, sales, and operational positions, including:

Business Development Managers/Directors
Chief and Senior Estimators
Project Managers
Superintendents
Construction Accounting and Corporate Roles
Roofing Sales Professionals
Roofing Canvassers
Other operational and leadership positions

You will be expected to:

Proactively source and headhunt passive candidates.
Build pipelines before positions become urgent.
Use LinkedIn, industry networks, referrals, competitor mapping, direct outreach, job boards, and other sourcing strategies.
Develop new recruiting approaches when conventional sources aren't producing results.
Screen and qualify candidates before presenting them to hiring managers.
Manage the full recruiting process from sourcing through offer and onboarding.
Maintain accurate ATS pipelines and candidate records.
Track recruiting KPIs, pipeline activity, and results.
Provide consistent reporting on recruiting progress, challenges, and priorities.
Partner directly with executive leadership and hiring managers.
Continuously evaluate compensation, job positioning, sourcing channels, and recruiting strategy to improve results.

Human Resources

In addition to recruiting, you will help manage and strengthen our HR function, including:

Employee onboarding and integration.
Employee relations and performance-management support.
HR compliance and documentation.
Policies, procedures, and employee records.
Benefits and HR/payroll system coordination.
Management accountability and recurring HR processes.
Development of scalable HR systems as the company grows.

We are looking for someone who:

Is a true recruiting hunter, not simply an applicant processor.
Has demonstrated success recruiting passive candidates for difficult-to-fill positions.
Can personally source candidates instead of relying primarily on Indeed or inbound applications.
Understands how to recruit experienced professionals who may not actively be looking for another job.
Is highly organized, responsive, and accountable for deadlines and deliverables.
Communicates proactively when obstacles arise rather than waiting for management follow-up.
Is comfortable being measured against recruiting KPIs and results.
Can work independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership.
Is comfortable working directly with the CEO and department leaders.
Can shift recruiting strategy quickly when an approach isn't producing results.
Wants to build systems while still remaining hands-on in daily recruiting.

Experience

Required:

5+ years of progressive talent acquisition/recruiting experience.
Demonstrated success proactively sourcing and recruiting passive candidates.
Experience recruiting professional, management, sales, or difficult-to-fill positions.
Strong sourcing, networking, interviewing, and candidate-closing skills.
Experience working with an ATS and managing recruiting pipelines and KPIs.

Strongly Preferred:

Commercial construction recruiting experience.
Experience recruiting Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Construction Accounting professionals, and/or commercial construction Business Development professionals.
Roofing or specialty-contractor recruiting experience.
HR management/generalist experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, compliance, policies, and performance management.

Establish measurable recruiting KPIs and accountability.
Strengthen onboarding and HR processes.
Build scalable recruiting and HR systems that support continued company growth.
Become a trusted, responsive partner to executive leadership and department managers.
