The typical RN to patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:1.5 per hour which provides the best direct patient care and as much one on one time with our patients.
Mondays and Fridays are required to be considered for employment and full-time.
Hours can vary, but typical clinical hours in the clinic are Monday through Friday 8:00am- 5:30pm with a 60 minute lunch.
Rocky Mountain Mind and Body also provides Group Ketamine therapy retreats that are typically done on Saturdays from 9:00am to 3pm and some weekday evening Yoga Ketamine Therapy sessions. These events are fully led and guided by certified psychedelic guides using meditation, Yoga Nidra, curated music, and are medically monitored by RNs and the clinic director using Ketamine medication. We limit to 10 participants for a luxury and more intimate experience.
Qualifications - Required
- Active, unrestricted, unencumbered Colorado Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of Nursing experience
- Must apply for and carry liability insurance or obtain within 20 days of employment (premiums reimbursed up to $450/year)
- Exceptional IV skills and current within last 12 months experience.
- Current BLS certification
Key Competencies include, but are not limited to:
- Excellent current IV skills (within the last 12 months) we do not use any assisted devices such as ultrasound. You must have current manuel IV skills.

- Excellent communication skills-must be able to communicate with patients as well as medical staff in a kind, compassionate manner

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Start and discontinue intravenous catheters with skill and accuracy and be comfortable with difficult veins (manual IV skills a must)
- Administer intramuscular injections with skill and knowledge of best practices and physical locations
- Administer Ketamine and other PRN medications as directed, per set protocols by the clinic director
- Accurately document all medications in the EHR and appropriate log including the controlled substance log book
- Actively engages as a collaborative member of the care team by maintaining open, direct, and timely communication with leadership, nurses, providers, guides, and administrative staff; addresses concerns proactively, participates in team discussions, and contributes to a unified, patient-centered treatment environment
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations
- Program and monitor syringe infusion pumps for continuous medication delivery
- Monitor, report, and chart changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
- Maintain accurate patient electronic medical records.
- Communicate all pertinent information and any patient interventions to the Clinic Director,Director of Patient Care, and to other appropriate staff
- Provide accurate applicable treatment education and emotional support to patients and their family members.
- Educate clients, patients, family members regarding treatment protocols, treatment expectations, support options
- Complete all documentation of patient treatment, including progress notes and discharge summaries in an accurate and timely manner.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock treatment rooms between patients and at the end of the treatment day.
- Assist patients to/from the restroom as needed.
- Maintain patient privacy.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations,
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Ability to follow OSHA, PHI, Infection controls, HIPAA regulations
- Maintain appropriate medical supply inventory with a focus on fiscal responsibility.

Preemployment requirements:
All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire.
Candidates will be required to show proof of being vaccinated against COVID and Flu upon commencing employment and be required to obtain applicable booster vaccinations on a regular basis.
Working Conditions:
- This role is clinic based and requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is low. It requires low voice and tone and the ability to stand and sit for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to lift and seat patients in and out of a wheelchair as needed and assist patients to and from the restroom safely.

- Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
- We require all staff to be vaccinated for Flu and COVID
Starting Salary: $40 per hour. Review after successfully working 90 days.
