Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join our growing and dynamic team! Lanphier LLP is a boutique CPA firm in Denver serving a global base of small to mid-sized clients with complex tax and accounting needs. We provide a unique, modern work environment unlike anything else you will find in public accounting!

Our firm emphasizes an advisory-focused approach with our tax clients, working with them proactively to maximize tax efficiency and accomplish their goals. We are more than just tax preparers - we are strategic partners supporting our clients on a year-round basis.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary point of contact for a diverse book of client relationships, including managing all tax preparation and strategic planning needs.
New client onboarding through advisory services delivery, including entity structure and owner compensation planning, identifying and maximizing deductions, and ensuring tax compliance.
Review of tax returns, including S Corps (1120-S), C Corps (1120), Partnerships (1065), and Individuals (1040).
Review accounting data prior to tax preparation, including clean-up and adjusting entries and trial balance consolidations.
Tax research and analysis on varied topics under partner direction.
Tax planning, projections, and strategy for business and individual clients.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Masters in Tax a plus!
CPA or EA certification required
4-5+ years of tax experience
Independent, self-motivated, ability to keep on task without direct oversight
Excellent time management skills
Open to instruction and constructive criticism
Professionalism; Good written and oral communication skills
Personable; comfortable with direct client interaction and relationship management
Dependable team player
