Full Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistic Warehouse Coordinator to oversee all warehouse operations at our cracker manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. This role is key in supporting production goals, inventory accuracy, and on-time deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

Maintain efficient workflows to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inventory in compliance with food safety regulations.

Inventory Management:

Oversee cycle counts, stock rotation (FIFO), and inventory reconciliations.
Work closely with procurement and production to forecast material needs and manage inventory levels.
Use Odoo ERP system to maintain real-time inventory accuracy.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and train warehouse staff
Enforce safety, quality, and performance standards.

Production Scheduling:

Collaborate with Production Manager to ensure you are fully informed of Short- and long-term production schedules

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure warehouse operations comply with HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits, forklift inspections, and oversee sanitation of the warehouse.
Champion a culture of safety and accountability.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with production, quality control, logistics, and procurement teams.
Coordinate domestic & international freight movements by arranging transportation with outside carriers and ensuring shipments move accordingly to delivery times.
Negotiate freight rates with customers and carriers while balancing service quality, cost efficiency, and margin goals.
International Logistics-compliance / document management of finished goods movements ( air, ocean, cross-boarder)
Resolve shipment issues by coordinating with carriers, customers, and internal operations teams.
Process claims for damage / missing goods.
Maintain accurate shipment of documentation and records to support billing and operational reporting.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to support operational goals.

Safety Responsibilities:

Never handle hazardous chemicals unless properly trained and authorized. Ensure all staff follow the same policy.
Do not operate any equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, stretch wrapper) without receiving proper training and certification.
Ensure all team members wear appropriate PPE at all times, including high-visibility vests, safety shoes, gloves, and any site-specific protective gear.
Conduct and document regular forklift inspections to ensure safe operation and compliance with OSHA requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction-free warehouse to prevent slips, trips, and collisions.
Follow and enforce proper lifting techniques when handling materials to avoid back injuries and strains.
Champion safe storage practices—no overstocking, secure all pallets, and keep heavy items at lower levels.
Ensure safe operation of loading docks, including use of dock plates, restraints, and clear communication between drivers and warehouse staff.
Conduct and lead regular safety audits and hazard assessments, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
Train staff in emergency procedures, including fire evacuation, chemical spills, and first aid response.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and internal safety policies at all times.
Oversee proper sanitation of the warehouse, ensuring cleaning supplies are safely stored and used.
Promptly report and investigate all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Participate in and facilitate ongoing safety training and toolbox talks, reinforcing a safety-first culture.
Lead by example by consistently following and promoting all safety protocols and holding the team accountable.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience in a food production or manufacturing environment.
Customer service
2+ years of supervisory or coordinator experience.
International Logistics experience.
Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF preferred).
Proficient in using warehouse or inventory management systems (e.g., Odoo).
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Forklift- experience / certification
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.).

Work Environment:

Fast-paced production environment with frequent interaction with production and logistics teams.
Physical presence on the warehouse floor, supervision, and process management.
