JOB The Enrollment Counselor is a valuable member of the Graduate and Professional Studies team within the Office of Admissions. The incoming Enrollment Counselor will recruit prospective students, interview and advise applicants, review both international and domestic applications for admission, and participate in various recruitment related activities on and off campus; for programs at all academic levels from Associate’s through Doctorate. Enrollment Counselors implement the institution’s enrollment strategy in recruitment and admissions through inquiry/application management, multilayered communications, and student-focused support. The incoming Enrollment Counselor should be a results-oriented professional who always represents and promotes Rivier University in a manner that advances the enrollment goals of the University. Rivier provides several in-demand tech-oriented programs including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity Management, and Computer Science. Industry connections is a plus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full time, on-campus, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
Travel: The ability to travel occasionally when needed and to load and transport admissions materials, displays, and other equipment.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Consistently and professionally complete in-person, telephone, email and text message contact with prospective students to help and encourage them to understand policies and procedures and to complete all admission processes utilizing available technology.

Represent the University both on-campus and occasionally off-campus within assigned territories to prospective students, employers, college admissions counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.

Meet the enrollment expectations/goals for assigned recruitment territories in relation to budgetary goals and objectives.

Coordinate and plan regular recruiting activities for your assigned territories. Activities are often virtual (for example, monthly virtual information sessions hosted with Program Directors) but may also take place on-campus or regionally.

Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with administrative and academic divisions at Rivier to best achieve enrollment goals. Depending on assigned territories, this may include regular communication and collaboration with academic Program Directors, the Rivier Online Enrollment Team, colleagues within the Offices of Global Engagement and Academic/Career Advising as well as with other Student Success staff at Rivier.

Review admissions applications, complete initial transfer credit reviews, and determine and/or route admission decision action for both Rivier Online and on campus applicants for doctoral, graduate and undergraduate applicants.

Maintain strong understanding of current programs, policies, and procedures including: academic programs, financial aid policies, business office policies, nursing licensure qualifications and processes, state educational certifications, and international student application requirements.

Support and maintain the mission and strategic goals of Rivier University as appropriate.

Other duties as assigned.
