The Purpose of This Procedure is to Define and Establish the Functions, Duties, Authority, and Responsibilities of the Bagging Line Lead Position for Todd’s.
2.0 FUNCTIONAL ROLE
2.1 The Function of the Bagging Line Lead is to Manage and Support the Production Through the Bagging Work Center
3.0 REQUIREMENTS

Education

Required: High School Diploma.

Experience

Required: Computer Proficiency

Preferred: 6 Months of Experience in Heavy Bagging Lines.

Preferred: 1Year Experience in Multiple Lines for Blending, Bagging and Milling.

Required: Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively during an 8hr shift

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to Read, Write, Spell, and Orally Communicate Clearly in English

Ability to Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide.

Ability to Effectively Communicate with Direct Reports and Department Leads.

Ability to Organize, Sort, and Categorize Incoming Materials and Goods.

Ability to Understand Metric and Lb. Conversion Rates for Raw Goods and Incoming Products.

Ability to Problem Solve through Work Center to Improve Throughput and Efficiency.

Employees will be Expected to Wash Hands Before Entering Production Floor

Employees will be Expected to Wear Gloves, Masks, and Other Essential Protection Equipment as Required by Quality Control.
4.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
-
The Bagging Line Lead Reports to the Production Floor Supervisor.
The Bagging Line Lead Works with the Blending Lead and the Production Manager to Maximize Throughput Through the Production Work Centers.
5.0 AUTHORITY
The Bagging Line Lead has the Authority to Delegate Tasks to Anyone Under his / her Direct Authority Based on Their Trained Experience and Ability to Perform the Tasks and Functions.
6.0 DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates Production Equipment in a Safe Manner According to Company
Specifications.
-
Follows all Quality Control Mandates and Actively Monitors and Models Quality
Control Behavior in Work Center.

Reads Work Instructions Carefully and Follows Instructions for Bagging of Customer Products.
-
Operates Lifts and Moves Ingredients form Staged Areas with Minimal Damage to Customer Products and Todd’s Facility.
-
Communicates with the Bagging team and the Production Floor Supervisor to Ensure Smooth Transition of Work through the Work Center.
-
Ensures all Quality Control Paperwork is Accurately Filled Out for Assigned Line.
-
Offers Suggestions to Work Center Leads on Ways to Improve Efficiency of Assigned Lines.
-
Operates Bagging Equipment Within Parameters Established in
Work Instructions for Various Customers Products.
-
Uses Forklift to Move Ingredients Into and Out of Work Center as Necessary to
Correctly Weigh and Measure Finished Products and Make Room for Additional
Raw Ingredients.
Clean Trash and Pallets out of Work Center.
-
Responsible for Reporting any Incidents or Accidents in Supervised Work Center
to Human Resources, Quality Control, and/or Engineering as Required by
Company Guidelines.

Washes Down Work Centers and Notifies Production Floor Supervisor
-
Recognizes Allergens, Organics, and Kosher to Determine Proper Handling in Work Center.
-
Loads Completed Work Center Products into Trucks as Needed to Clear Space in Work Center. Wraps Pallets according to Company Guidelines.
-
Tidies and Cleans Work Area at the End of Shift and Prepares Work Center for Next Shift When Required.
-
Checks Paperwork and Work Orders for Assigned Work Center and Ensures all Products Have Been Labeled Correctly for Shipping
-
Notifies Production Manager of Any Equipment Break Downs and any Additional Needs to Complete Work in Work Center.

Assists with the Training of Production Positions for Bagging.

Other Related Duties as Requested by Management

Maintains a Cooperative Working Relationship with all Employees.

Promotes a High Degree of Morale and a Spirit of Motivation Amongst Members of the Team.

Always Gives Proper Notice of Absences and Vacation Time to Direct Supervisor.

Puts Direct Reports in Positions to be Successful and Supports them in their Roles.
8.0 MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE
The Production Manager Will Evaluate the Performance of the Bagging

Quality Goals Have Been Met for the Bagging Line.

Production Goals Have Been Met for Products Ran by The Bagging Line Lead
-
Work Orders Have Been Processed through Operator I ‘s Work Centers with Minimal Errors.
-
The Production Manager is satisfied with the level of performance they have received from the Bagging Line Lead
-
Todd’s Has Been Able to Meet Customers Demands and Has Achieved Greater Than 98% On Time Delivery of Finished Goods in the Scheduled Work Centers.

The Bagging Line Lead Has Maintained Cooperative Working Relationships with All Employees and Managers.
