Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Farmer's Market Associate to join our retail sales team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers. As a market or store Associate, you will be responsible for various tasks including cash handling, sales support, and quality standards. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively is key.
We are scheduled for the market on the following weekends and hope this candidate is available for the weekends below. The Farmer's Market associate will arrive at 6:00 AM to Moglea and tear down the stand by 1:00 PM. The market open hours are from 7-12PM (8-12PM in October.)
Once the market is over, this individual will work from 10-5 PM in the retail shop at 110 11th Street every Saturday through Christmas. We may ask for extra help on key dates (or adding Sunday shifts) from Thanksgiving until Christmas. We'll prioritize candidates who can commit to working most weekends.

Primary duties:
Sales & Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, providing outstanding customer service.
- Act as a brand liaison by sharing Moglea's story and unique production process with customers.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Moglea products and current promotions to effectively answer customer inquiries.
- Operate the personalization machine (foil stamper) to add names to customer orders.
- Efficiently manage cash transactions and utilize retail math skills for accurate processing and cash handling.
- Assemble Moglea products (during downtime at retail shop).
Stand Operations & Logistics
- Execute complete load-in and load-out procedures, including transporting and setting up the vending kiosk.
- Ensure the stand is consistently well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Protect products adequately during any inclement weather.
- Solve problems in real time to continue operations - fix stand issues, malfunctioning POS system, or foil stamper.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Uphold all store policies regarding safety, sanitation, and customer service standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless daily operations, including meeting supply and inventory needs each week.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash register operation and cash handling procedures.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Experience in sales or retail math is beneficial for effective performance in this role.
