Job Summary/Objective

Are you ready to take the first step in building a career that shapes communities and infrastructure? We’re looking for an entry-level CAD Technician who’s eager to be part of a collaborative team that brings engineering projects to life. In this role, you’ll work closely with engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the design and drafting of real-world civil infrastructure. Whether you're a recent graduate of a drafting or engineering technology program or someone with a year or two of experience looking to grow, we want to meet you. Our team values mentorship, technical development, and providing our CAD technicians with a clear path forward.

Responsibilities

Design and drafting of engineering plans.
Complete quantity calculations as directed by engineer.
Works under the guidance of engineers and project managers to complete assigned drafting tasks.
Understands and follows the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs.
Maintains schedules and offers progress reports.
Revises or changes drawings, and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent minimum

Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
1+ Years of civil engineering design related experience preferred.
Previous experience with Autodesk Products (Civil 3D)

Previous experience with Bentley Products (Microstation, GeoPak, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.) preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
Ability to take direction and express understanding of the directions received.

Compensation

The estimated compensation range for this position is $22 to $30 per hour. This range is just an estimate for this posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon education, experience, and skills.
