Full Job Description

Blooming Color, a world-class commercial printing company in Lombard, Illinois, is currently seeking a cutting/bindery operator to add to its growing team. From humble beginnings more than 30 years ago as a single-location quick-print provider, Blooming Color today is a leading print service provider who knows that with ink and ingenuity, nothing is impossible.

Experience

- Three to five years of prior bindery experience

- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

- Basic to intermediate math skills

- Demonstrated accuracy, reliability,decision-making, time management and self-motivation

- Demonstrated familiarity with bindery operations including cutting, folding, binding, stitching, drilling, packaging, etc.

- Operation, maintenance, and basic repairs of all bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, tabbers, etc.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the shift while bending, kneeling, reaching, and/or crouching to commonly lift up to 50 pounds

- Manual dexterity to operate machinery and equipment

Required Education and Skills

- High School Diploma or GED with prior print shop experience

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic written and/or oral instructions

- Ability to read, review, and interpret job ticket instructions to ensure accuracy

- Basic computer skills

- Maintain a clean and safe working area

- Good attendance required

Shifts & Schedule

- Monday through Friday from 2:00pm until 10:30pm; weekends as needed

- Willingness to work overtime as needed during peak

Wages and Benefits

- $22 to $25/hour; wages are commensurate with experience

- Full-time employees receive a benefit package that includes group health insurance, 401(k) plan, life insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off
