Full Job Description

<Job Overview>
Join our dynamic legal team as we start a new personal injury practice as a Personal Injury Paralegal and become a vital part of advocating for clients who have experienced personal injury incidents. In this energetic role, you will support attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and preparing documentation to ensure smooth and efficient case progression. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional legal services while fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your paralegal expertise within a fast-paced, client-focused law firm.

<Duties>

Assist team in developing a new personal injury practice area from scratch. Be part of something new and existing from the ground floor.
Assist attorneys with all aspects of personal injury cases, including case intake, investigation, and documentation management
Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
Review and organize case files, medical records, and evidence to ensure accuracy and completeness
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and opposing counsel
Manage document review processes utilizing iManage or similar document management systems
Coordinate with clients for interviews and gather pertinent information related to personal injury claims
Maintain detailed case logs, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court procedures
Support litigation activities by preparing trial exhibits, summaries, and reports as needed

<Skills>

Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or related litigation fields
Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes including document review, case management, and filing procedures
Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms
Proficiency in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and writing clear legal documents
Familiarity with project management principles to coordinate multiple cases efficiently
Experience with UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), Workers' Compensation law, Landlord-Tenant law, Family law, Securities law, Tribal law & regulations, Patent law or Immigration law is a plus but not required
Ability to utilize legal software such as PCLaw and document management systems like iManage effectively
Strong organizational skills complemented by excellent phone etiquette and clerical experience
Capable of performing data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability in legal research and case preparation within a law office setting.
At least 5 years experience in personal injury.
