Full Job Description

Description:

Leading IT Service Provider seeks a Unified Communications Systems Technician to plan, install, maintain, and support Microsoft Teams Phone/Voice solutions, Microsoft 365 collaboration services, hosted VoIP platforms, SIP-based communications systems, and on-premises VoIP infrastructure both internally and at client sites.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support Microsoft Teams Voice, Microsoft 365, hosted VoIP, and Unified Communications solutions.
Deploy and maintain Teams Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Operator Connect, and SIP-based voice services/System.
Troubleshoot voice, network, and end-user issues both remotely and onsite.
Support cloud and on-premises communications infrastructure, including VoIP systems, routers, firewalls, switches, and carrier connectivity.
Perform system upgrades, migrations, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
Deploy and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and conference room AV solutions.
Manage service tickets, technical documentation, and system records.
Provide end-user training and exceptional customer support.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and deliver successful client projects.
Participate in on-call rotation and stay current with evolving technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Experience preferred but not all necessary.

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (or related degree/equivalent combination of education and experience).
2+ years of IT, VoIP, Unified Communications, or telecommunications experience.
Experience with Microsoft Teams Voice, Microsoft 365, hosted VoIP, and SIP-based communications.
Experience supporting NEC, Grandstream, Mitel, Cisco, Avaya, or similar phone systems is a plus.
Basic knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, and VoIP technologies.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365, MS-700, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
