Job Overview

Full time X-Ray position available for busy Neurosurgical / Orthopaedic Practice. Technologist needed to split between our Clinton Twp. and Rochester locations. Knowledge of surgical C-Arm usage for fast paced procedures is a must, and you will perform Diagnostic X-Rays during some clinics (mostly spine.) This position will also order/stock supplies for our procedure room. Must have applicable certification from accredited school / program and be ARRT registered.

Salary commensurate with experience. M-F dependent on provider schedules, no weekends or holidays.

Duties

Ensure the proper operation of medical imaging equipment while adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
Maintain strict compliance with radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff during all imaging procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
Collaborate with physicians to obtain high-quality images necessary for accurate diagnosis and diagnostic evaluation.
Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Keep all imaging equipment properly calibrated and perform routine quality control checks to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

Ability to operate complex medical equipment including X-ray machines, Surgical C-Arm
Familiarity with implementing radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks.
Excellent knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging
Skilled in aseptic technique and maintaining sterile fields during interventional radiology procedures.
Capable of performing diagnostic evaluations with attention to detail under time-sensitive conditions.
