Full Job Description

Quality Inspector – DQR

Triple, Inc. is a registered AS9100/D manufacturer of precision components for the aerospace industry. These components include matched valves for fuel systems, spindles and shafts for motors and pumps, pistons and shoes for hydraulic actuators and various close tolerance housings. Triple has worked in the aerospace and defense industry for over 60 years.

Full Time (45-50+ hours/ weekly)

Current Day shift is Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm and Saturday (as required)

Current Second shift is Monday – Thursday 4:00pm – 3:30am and Friday 4:00pm – 11:00pm (as required)

Reports to: Quality Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector role is focused on inspecting parts and compliance to customer requirements. As a Quality Inspector DQR (Delegated Quality Representative) the final inspections that are being performed are a source inspection on behalf of Triple’s customer and the inspector shall act in the best interest of Triple’s customer.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Supports First Piece Inspection, In-Process and Final Inspections
Be able to work from work instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, and other specific procedures
Creates, completes, and compiles necessary documentation related to Quality Inspection including certification packages
Conduct in-process audits (floor inspections) of manufacturing operations
Ensure that proper inspection methods are being utilized during manufacturing
Interface with all departments
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures
Supports production priorities with a sense of urgency
Ensures that Final Inspection documentation is complete and ready for the customer
Provide disposition for quality scrap
Record inspection results as required
Ballooning of prints / AQL & methods
Issue gages / maintain Gage Track
Maintain an acceptable customer delegation approval including DQR status and SIDA Delegations

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Able to handle a fast-paced office atmosphere.

· Ability to effectively interact with internal and external associates.

· Basic understanding of systems such as recordkeeping and filing.

· Comfortable navigating computer and file structure.

· Ability to listen, understand and follow directions.

· Able to organize and prioritize work.

Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment with changing priorities both independently and collaboratively with team members, peers and supervisors
Strong attention to detail
Adaptive to changing priorities
Capable of reading and interpreting customer blueprints
Excellent time management and organization skills
Must have annual verification of visual acuity and color vision by certified eye professional
Ability to read, write and understand English
A minimum of (6) months experience with the customer’s product, specifications and drawing requirements that you are a DQR for
Have access and ability to navigate customer supplier portals to release product
AS13001 Certification (Supplier Self Release Training Certification)
Customer specific DQR training and passing DQR test (as applicable)
Ability to perform inspections of product to the blueprint specifications (.00005 Tolerances) using standard measuring instruments such as:

· Micrometers

· Bore gages

· Optical comparators

· Air gaging

· Surface analyzing equipment

· Mikrokator

· Height gages

· CMM

· Vision systems

· Laser micrometers

· Etc.

Knowledge of:

Strong working knowledge of GD&T
Strong working knowledge of inspection equipment
Working knowledge and use of Word, Excel
Capable of adapting to and interfacing with customer portals
Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Systems
AS9102 First Article Inspection Documentation

Education and Experience:

5+ years in Quality Assurance
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be a citizen of The United States
On the job training.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
