Full Job Description

Medical Receptionist

Busy medical office seeking experienced, skilled and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team. Experience with EPIC software is a must. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a high-level of professionalism with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately with close attention to demographic and insurance details.
Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization
Experience in medication/referral authorization and verification
Refill medications through Epic.
Collect copays and manage patient billing inquiries.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and a business demeanor.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and attentive.
Ability to follow instructions carefully and accurately.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in EPIC software (EPIC - 1 year RECENT experience required to include appointment scheduling, entering demographic information, charting, refill medications, referral knowledge, insurance verification knowledge, and payment collection.)
Previous experience working in a medical setting, gastroenterology is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks independently.
Comfortable with multi-tasking and adapting to a dynamic environment.
Fast learner with a commitment to continuous improvement.
