Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors alike. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients, dental staff, and insurance providers. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic workflows. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a fast-paced dental setting.

Duties

Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries with precision and professionalism
Manage multi-line phone systems, answer patient questions, and direct calls appropriately with excellent phone etiquette
Maintain accurate dental records, update patient files, and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and processing payments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Meditech or Athenahealth
Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, managing office supplies, and coordinating care plans

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist with clinic or dental office experience preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and health information management systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing
Ability to handle medical administrative support tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Strong organizational skills with experience managing medical records, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling in a fast-paced environment
