Are you looking for a veterinary hospital where you can grow your skills and gain experience with more than routine wellness care? Hartrick Veterinary Clinic is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
Hartrick is a full-service, AAHA-accredited small-animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, diagnostic, and urgent-care services for dogs and cats. We are also Fear Free-focused and Cat Friendly Certified®.
Required:

Ability to accurately collect and record TPRs
-
Proficient with patient restraint and handling

Knowledge of core vs. lifestyle vaccines and ability to discuss them with clients

Proficient in venipuncture
Preferred:

Proficient with IM injections

Experience with surgical preparation

Proficient in placing IV catheters

Assist with patient care, treatments, and procedures

Support doctors and the veterinary team with medical and surgical cases

Assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures

Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital

Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients

Assist with diagnostics, including radiographs, ultrasound, and laboratory testing

A High School Diploma or equivalent.

Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
