Experienced Process Server – Wayne County, Michigan
Michigan Legal Process Servers is expanding its field team.
We are currently seeking an experienced process server to handle assignments throughout Wayne County, Michigan.
This is an opportunity for an experienced professional who already understands the process serving business and is looking for better-paying, consistent work with a professional legal services company.
This Position Is for Experienced Process Servers only, We are not looking to train someone from the ground up.
Applicants should have previous, verifiable experience serving legal documents and understand the responsibilities involved in properly documenting and completing service.
Experience with ServeManager or similar process-serving case management software is strongly preferred.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous professional process serving experience
- A clean background check
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Valid automobile insurance
- A laser printer capable of producing professional-quality documents
- A high-quality scanner for scanning and submitting affidavits, documents, and related paperwork
- A smartphone with reliable internet/data access
- Strong knowledge of proper service procedures
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage assignments efficiently
- Ability to accurately document attempts, results, and service information
- Availability for attempts at varying times, including evenings and weekends when necessary
- Familiarity with ServeManager or similar software is strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally with our office
What We Offer
Pay Well Above Industry Standard
We believe experienced process servers should be compensated accordingly. Our pay is well above industry standard—even from day one. There is no lengthy probationary period where you are expected to prove yourself at a reduced rate. Our pay rate is per job, not per hour.
Paid Every Friday
Completed assignments are paid every Friday via electronic payment.
Consistent Opportunities
We are building our Wayne County field team to provide dependable coverage for our growing volume of assignments. Qualified servers can expect ongoing opportunities rather than occasional, sporadic work.
Professional Support
You will have the support of an established Michigan legal services company with experienced management and established systems for assignment management, documentation, and client communication.
Work With Other Firms? That's Fine.
We understand that experienced process servers may work with multiple companies. We do not require exclusivity.
You are welcome to accept work from other process serving companies as well. We simply expect professional discretion, confidentiality, and ethical handling of all assignments. Client information, documents, addresses, and case details obtained through Michigan Legal Process Servers must be treated as confidential.
