Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Trader & General Affairs Specialist to support our trading room operations. This entry-level role combines hands-on exposure to money market trading operations, liquidity management, regulatory compliance, and general affairs. It is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to launch a career in banking and treasury operations.

Junior Trader Duties

Monitor and calculate daily cash inflows and outflows across departments to determine net cash positions and liquidity forecasts.
Review opening balances and manage daily positions across clearing accounts to prevent overdrafts.
Assist in money market borrowing and lending activities to square daily positions under the guidance of the Treasury Manager.
Prepare and process dealing slips, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, approved by management, and passed to the Settlement department.
Prepare daily and monthly gap reports, sensitivity analyses, and credit research reports for securities or bonds.
Conduct KYC/AML due diligence for critical funding counterparties, collect required compliance certifications, and maintain risk assessment records.
General Affairs Duties
Assist with vendor due diligence, expense approvals, office procurement, and other ad-hoc General Affairs tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Open to recent graduates).
Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
Compliance Awareness: Basic knowledge of BSA/AML/KYC guidelines is a plus.
Core Attributes: Ability to work efficiently under tight morning deadlines, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills required for both Junior Trader and General Affairs functions.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
