Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current, valid SLPA credential or certification as required by the state
- Experience or genuine interest in working with children in educational settings
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to the needs of a varied student caseload
- Excellent interpersonal communication abilities and a collaborative spirit
- Familiarity with IEPs and treatment plan implementation is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in developing and implementing therapy activities tailored to individual student goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions about student progress and support strategies
- Support communication between students, families, and educational staff
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all learners
