Full Job Description

Residential Options, Inc. is hiring caring individuals interested in working with adults that have developmental disabilities. The site is located in Dewitt, Michigan. Full-time or part-time position is available. Starting pay is $17.13 per hour. Health insurance, paid time off and 401(k) matching retirement plan are available.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age prior to beginning employment. Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation for work-related needs. Must be insurable under ROI’s automobile insurance policy. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Diplomatic interpersonal skills needed. Experience working with developmental disabilities considered a plus. Attention to detail and follow-through essential. Must be willing to complete CPR/FA and Recipient Rights Training within 30 days of hire.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s), including personal care and hygiene, household support, independent living skills, and all activities outlined in the consumer’s individual treatment plan

Administer any required medications, treatments, and therapy programs as instructed by clinicians

Complete daily documentation in accordance with Community Mental Health policies and procedures

Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as required by ROI

Assist consumers with personal hygiene. This may include, but is not limited to, toileting, bathing, dressing, shaving, dental care, etc.

Implement each consumer’s individual treatment plan and complete all required documentation in a timely manner

Encourage consumers to be involved in community activities and outings, and assist them when necessary

Transport consumers to day programs, medical appointments, community activities, etc. as required.

Complete required training(s) specific to your site placement in a timely manner
