Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional Floor Manager who loves seafood, chowder, and top notch guest service to join our Fish Co. and Off The Hook team. We believe in a hands on management style, touch every table, and assist where you are needed on the floor. Team player, motivator, and excellent communicator wanted!

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Plan, direct, and oversee restaurant and banquet operations. Maintain high standards of food quality, service, health and safety, while ensuring the efficient and profitable performance of the restaurant and private event business. Optimize staff utilization, enhance guest experiences, and support the successful execution of special events and banquets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
Deliver an elevated guest experience and maximize guest satisfaction
Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
Regularly review product quality
Organize and supervise shifts
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Sets the standard for and actively builds a culture of hospitality
Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
Train new and current employees on proper guest experience practices
Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.
Coordinate and oversee banquet, private dining, catering, and special event functions to ensure seamless execution.
Work closely with clients, event coordinators, and culinary teams to confirm event details, timelines, room setups, staffing needs, and service expectations.
Manage banquet setups, service execution, and event breakdowns while ensuring adherence to company service standards.
Monitor banquet labor and event-related expenses to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
Ensure banquet and event spaces are properly prepared, maintained, and reset according to function requirements.
Lead pre-shift and pre-event meetings to communicate guest expectations, menu details, service plans, and event logistics.
Assist with sales opportunities for private dining, banquets, and special events by promoting available services and enhancing guest relationships.
Handle guest requests, concerns, and service recovery during events with professionalism and urgency.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBLITIES

1. Directly supervises 15-20 employees during shift.

2. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

3. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Experience: Two years of experience as a Restaurant manager [R]

Extensive food and beverage knowledge

Education: High school diploma [R]

BS degree in Business Admin or Hospitality Manage. [P]
