Car Buyer Assistant (Los Angeles)

Compensation: Hourly pay plus overtime pay + Commission (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and dependable Car Buyer Assistant to join our growing purchasing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long term career in the automotive industry while working with classic, collector, and specialty vehicles from around the world.

Responsibilities

Assist in purchasing classic, collector, and specialty vehicles from private owners, dealers, auctions, and other sources.
Respond promptly to incoming phone calls, emails, and internet inquiries.
Communicate professionally with customers throughout the purchasing process.
Evaluate vehicle condition and assist in determining purchase values.
Negotiate vehicle purchases while making financially sound decisions.
Build relationships with collectors, dealerships, and private sellers.
Conduct online research on vehicles, market values, and purchasing opportunities.
Travel throughout Southern California to inspect and purchase vehicles when necessary.
Schedule vehicle transportation and coordinate pickups.
Follow up with sellers, transport companies, and vendors to keep purchases moving.
Inspect incoming vehicles and verify paperwork is complete.
Maintain accurate inventory records and vehicle pricing.
Track purchasing costs and communicate information to the accounting department.
Meet purchasing goals and quotas.
Work closely with the purchasing, sales, shipping, and accounting teams to ensure smooth transactions.
Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the dealership with professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Self motivated with a strong work ethic and proactive mindset.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Computer and internet proficiency.
Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce is a plus.
Logistics or transportation coordination experience is a plus.
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
Automotive industry experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Schedule

Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (or later if needed)

Saturday
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Overtime and Saturday availability are required.
