Per Diem / Part-Time Registered Nurse (Pre-Op / PACU / OR Circulator)
San Gabriel Valley Surgical Center

Join Our Growing Ambulatory Surgery Center Team!

San Gabriel Valley Surgical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a per diem or part-time basis. We are a busy, AAAHC-accredited, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center committed to providing exceptional patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Our center performs 150-180 surgical procedures each month across multiple specialties, including:

Ophthalmology
Orthopedics
Pain Management
Podiatry
General Surgery
ENT
Urology

We are looking for a flexible, team-oriented RN who is comfortable working in Pre-Op, PACU, and as an OR Circulator.

Position Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgery, including preoperative assessments and education.
Provide safe, high-quality PACU care and monitor patients through recovery.
Function as an OR Circulating Nurse, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Assist with maintaining a smooth surgical schedule and positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
BLS and ACLS certifications required. PALS preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting preferred.
Experience in Pre-Op, PACU, and OR Circulating required.
Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Ophthalmology and orthopedic experience is a plus.
Conscious sedation certification preferred
