Roughrider North Human Service Zone is Hiring a Child Welfare Case Manager in Dickinson, North Dakota
Roughrider North Human Service Zone Child Welfare Team is seeking a Child Welfare Case Manager to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families in our community.
Child Welfare Case Manager duties include but not limited to:
- Assess and provide case management services for children residing in the home

Develop case plans, goals, and safety plans for caretakers and children

Reduce identified risks of child abuse and neglect

Provide information and referral services for children and families

Conduct case planning meetings
-
Write affidavits and testify at court proceedings

Maintain flexibility with on-call scheduling and non-traditional working hours
To succeed in this position, you should have a passion for serving others and a desire to make a positive impact. You should be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities effectively and have demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations. You will need to have a strong understanding of program policies and laws. You will also need to be comfortable working with all types of software and database applications, with a willingness to learn new technological programs and have attention to detail.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, nursing (bachelor level degree) or criminal justice. Plus, one of the following:
Family Service Specialist III:

Two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. Qualifying experience includes work in healthcare, behavioral health, child welfare, developmental disabilities, case management in a corrections setting, or social services. This experience must involve direct client interaction, service coordination, and documentation responsibilities.

A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement.

Family Services Specialist II:

One (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. You must complete Child Welfare certification.
Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance. This position requires the ability to safely drive to and from destinations in the community and or Zone. This may include the safe transportation of clients and also may include travel outside of the Zone.
Frequent travel throughout the region is required.
Individuals may be required to work some non-traditional hours
Team members must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds regularly as part of their daily responsibilities. Team members must be capable of performing physical tasks such as bending, stooping, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
Salary will be adjusted if position is filled as an FSS I or FSS II.
