Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer support and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Comprehensive Pain & Neurology Center, is an established and growing multi-specialty neurology practice staffed by board certified and fellowship trained physicians, behavioral health professionals, and advanced practitioners. Our successful medical office is growing and needs an Experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team. This is a full-time position. The person filling this role will be based in our Dickson office.

Summary of Position

To accurately check patients in and out by verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records and accounts. Maintain patient flow. Provide positive patient relations and superior customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing the facility, opening all systems applications, and preparing new patient registration packets and required documents.
Greet patients, provide patients with initial paperwork, and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards.
Register patients, update patient records, and verify insurance accurately and timely.
Determine, collect and process patient payments and address collection and billing issues.
Discharge patients accurately and timely by collecting balances, providing patient documentation, and following discharge procedures.
Respond promptly to patient needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests.
Maintain office supplies.
Regular attendance to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent. Previous medical clerical experience required! Basic computer knowledge. Accuracy and detail orientation. Must be familiar with insurance policy types and payment posting. Positive customer service skills. Well-groomed appearance. Clear and articulate phone voice. Tactful interpersonal relationships. Experience with eClinical Works EMR is a plus.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
Office environment. Sitting and keyboarding for extended periods of time. Reaching and stooping for files. High attention to detail and ability to focus. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and enjoy working with the public.
