What You’ll Do
As a Lot Porter, you’ll play a key role in keeping our dealership running smoothly and looking its best.
Vehicle & Inventory Management
- Move, park, and organize new and used vehicles
- Maintain lot presentation and inventory flow
- Assist with vehicle check-in, including inspecting incoming units for damage and verifying inventory
- Install stock tags, buyer’s guides, and window stickers
PDI Staging & Vehicle Prep
- Stage vehicles for Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for inspection or delivery
- Coordinate with service and sales teams to keep inventory flowing efficiently
Cleaning & Vehicle Preparation
- Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles
- Prepare sold units for customer delivery
- Maintain showroom and front-line vehicle appearance
Service Department Support
- Transport vehicles between service lane and shop
- Stage vehicles for customer pickup
- Assist technicians and advisors with vehicle flow
General Maintenance & Grounds
- Keep lot, service drive, and showroom clean and organized
- Pick up trash and empty waste containers daily
- Clean sidewalks, drive lanes, and parking areas
- Remove debris, leaves, and hazards from dealership property
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow or ice removal
- Maintain overall dealership curb appeal and safety
General Maintenance (Light Facility & Vehicle Support)
- Perform basic facility upkeep (sweeping, organizing, minor repairs, replacing bulbs, painting, etc.)
- Maintain proper tire pressure and fuel levels
- Monitor battery condition and assist with jump starts if needed. Perform battery maintenance
- Report any vehicle damage, mechanical issues, or safety concerns immediately
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to drive automatic (manual a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
