This position is a 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri, 9AM-5PM) including medical, dental, and vision benefits, some travel in Cheatham County and surrounding areas, some in and out of state travel for training purposes, and some evening and weekend work is required. This is a full-time, in-person role at our Ashland City office.

The Program Coordinator is a community-facing support role that combines program coordination, community outreach, data tracking, and program assistance. This position plays a key role in implementing grant-funded strategies, coordinating community programs and trainings, supporting coalition engagement, managing outreach communications, and maintaining accurate data and reporting systems. This role requires strong organization, initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach to community outreach and activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ø Live, work or have a significant affiliation with Cheatham County.
Ø High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ø Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Social Work preferred OR a least one-year experience in community organizing or a health-related field.
Ø Must pass a background check and a drug screen upon initial hire.
Ø Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
Ø Proficient with Microsoft office suite including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
Ø Proficient with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X) and digital tools (Canva, Survey Monkey, Wix, Constant Contact).
Ø Must have strong written and verbal communication skill, able to connect and build relationships with diverse community members and stakeholders.
Ø Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with a team.
Ø Ability to lift to 45 lbs. for event set up and office needs.
Duties:
- Work with the Assistant Director and grantor to implement strategies and activities that support grant objectives, Coalition goals, and project outcomes.
- Coordinate, support, and implement Coalition prevention programs, educational initiatives, outreach activities, trainings, community events, and evidence-based prevention strategies across all sectors.
- Facilitate and support community meetings, town halls, educational workshops, stakeholder meetings, public speaking engagements, and other events outlined in project and Coalition plans.
- Develop, recruit, coordinate, and oversee youth coalition activities, youth leadership initiatives, peer-to-peer mentoring programs, support groups, and classroom-based prevention activities.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community members, organizations, schools, stakeholders, and partner agencies to strengthen Coalition efforts and community engagement.
- Develop and implement public awareness campaigns and assist with the creation and distribution of Coalition communications, including newsletters, flyers, announcements, outreach materials, presentations, and educational resources.
- Prepare materials, presentations, training content, and outreach resources for educational programs, community events, meetings, and trainings.
- Represent the Coalition at community events, stakeholder meetings, trainings, conferences, and required grantee meetings as assigned.
- Collect, track, maintain, and report program and grant-related data using designated reporting systems, including TN WITS, Catalyst, and internal tracking tools.
- Assist with data entry, survey administration, outcome tracking, success summaries, and evaluation activities to ensure accurate reporting and measurement of program effectiveness.
- Monitor and report grant-related outcomes to ensure project goals, objectives, and activities are completed successfully.
- Prepare, organize, and submit quarterly reports, annual reports, progress reports, and other grant-related documentation as required.
- Attend required grantee meetings, trainings, professional development opportunities, and Coalition-related events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director.
