Full Job Description

Dental Office Experience Required

Foothills Dentistry is a privately owned practice seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this essential role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a wide range of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline daily operations, facilitate smooth patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Our office is growing! We currently work Monday – Thursday, and we will be adding Fridays in the future, giving everyone a 4-day work week.

PLEASE NOTE: Dental experience is REQUIRED. Resumes that do not meet the required dental experience will not be considered at this time. Pay is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer inbound calls promptly and warmly, with the goal of scheduling every caller.
- Schedule new patients and gather complete intake information on the first call.
- Manage appointments: Run our automated confirmation system and fill last-minute openings from ASAP and recall lists.
- Prepare the schedule: Verify insurance, flag balances, and confirm records/x-rays are in place.
- Patient Flow: Greet and check in patients with a hospitality-driven experience and manage emergency appointments efficiently.
- Documentation: Keep accurate notes in the practice management system and collaborate closely with doctors and hygienists.

Experience & Requirements

- REQUIRED: Prior dental front office experience (scheduling, reception, or patient coordination) or a candidate with dental assisting background.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of dental software (CURVE Dental preferred), Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Drive.
- Compliance: Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality.
- Communication: Exceptional phone presence and the ability to handle calls and walk-ins without losing warmth.
