MJB Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to support the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) and the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center.
This senior-level role will support a major Salesforce Classic-to-Lightning modernization initiative, including migration of legacy Visualforce portals to Salesforce Digital Experience Sites. The successful candidate must have extensive hands-on Salesforce development experience and be prepared to demonstrate strong technical knowledge during the interview process.
Top Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in any field
- 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience
- Strong hands-on experience migrating Salesforce Classic to Lightning
- 5+ years working with Salesforce Digital Experience Sites
- Experience migrating legacy Visualforce portals to Digital Experience Sites
- 5+ years working with Service Cloud
- 5+ years of GoMeddo Scheduling customization experience or equivalent experience with similar scheduling products
- 5+ years of Conga Composer experience
- 4+ years developing with:
- Apex
- Visualforce
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Aura
- HTML5
- JavaScript
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Lightning development, including LWC
- Hands-on experience with SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle
Preferred Certifications
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Salesforce Experience Cloud Certification
- Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Salesforce Administrator Certification
Position Overview
The selected consultant will design, develop, integrate, migrate, and deploy enterprise Salesforce solutions supporting the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center.
A major focus of this assignment is the modernization of existing Salesforce applications through Classic-to-Lightning migration and migration of legacy Visualforce portals to Digital Experience Sites.
This position requires a genuinely hands-on senior Salesforce developer who can take technical ownership of complex Salesforce environments and work directly with architects, technical managers, developers, business stakeholders, and end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Support migration from Salesforce Classic to Lightning
- Migrate legacy Visualforce portals to Salesforce Digital Experience Sites
- Design and develop Lightning Web Components
- Develop Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Aura Components
- Customize and support GoMeddo Scheduling or comparable scheduling solutions
- Develop and support Conga Composer solutions
- Support Service Cloud and Experience Cloud implementations
- Develop Salesforce Flows and other configuration-based solutions
- Integrate Salesforce with cloud and on-premises applications
- Develop and support REST and SOAP web services
- Implement OAuth and other authentication mechanisms
- Develop Batch Apex and Scheduled Apex solutions
- Support enterprise data migrations and data-quality initiatives
- Manage Salesforce release cycles and deployments
- Support SFDX development, branching, merging, and source control
- Support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Establish and maintain Salesforce development standards
- Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues
- Ensure solutions comply with State of Michigan security and technical standards
- Develop technical architecture and implementation documentation
- Provide knowledge transfer and support transition to Maintenance & Operations

Interview Process
Two interview rounds are required.
Round 1 – Virtual
- Microsoft Teams
- Technical interview with the development team
- Candidates must be prepared to answer detailed Salesforce technical questions
Round 2 – In Person
- Mandatory in-person interview in Lansing, Michigan
- Conducted with the development team
- Candidates advancing from the virtual interview must be available to interview onsite
Candidates should confirm availability for both interview rounds before submission.
Hybrid Work Schedule – Non-Negotiable
Required onsite days:
There is no remote-only option.
The selected consultant must comply with the hybrid schedule beginning on Day One.
Location Requirement
Candidates must currently reside within 90 miles of Lansing, Michigan at the time of submission.
This is a non-negotiable requirement.

- Extension possible based on business need
