Full Job Description

Heart and Vascular Centers of America is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient clinic team. This traveling role is critical in supporting our high-volume Nuclear Medicine department while ensuring patient safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Travel is required between our Northern California clinic locations, including Chico, Sacramento, and Yuba City.

Key Responsibilities

Primary focus: Support the Nuclear Medicine department by assisting with patient preparation, workflow, and safety
Perform a high volume of IV placements – IV proficiency is REQUIRED
Administer medications according to established protocols
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and allergies, responding appropriately when needed
Conduct chart preparation, including reviewing laboratory results and physician orders for completeness and accuracy
Collaborate with physicians, nuclear medicine staff, and technologists to ensure seamless patient care
Maintain accurate documentation while upholding all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
Provide exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume outpatient setting

Qualifications

Active California RN license in good standing
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Extensive IV placement experience required
ER, ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Ability and willingness to travel between clinic locations in Chico, Sacramento, and Yuba City
