Job description- Bus Driver / Maintenance Assistant Full time (Job Summary Below)

Calson Management is hiring a Bus Driver/Maintenance Assistant for the newest Senior Living Community in Dixon, The Farmstead at Dixon Senior Living! Welcome to the Farmstead at Dixon Senior Living - The Farmstead at Dixon www.farmsteadatdixon.com

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Pay: $18.00 Hourly

Must have a clean driving record and be at least 25 years of age due to state licensing.

1-year minimum maintenance experience

Must clear FBI and DOJ Clearance, interested in a rewarding career.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Bus Driver / Maintenance Assistant, transports residents to and from scheduled Doctor Appointments, facility scheduled outings, shopping trips, and other destinations as scheduled by the Administrator. This position requires the Bus Driver to assist residents onto and off the bus.

Assist Maintenance Director while not operating the bus as the Maintenance Assistant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicating, on a regular basis, with the Facility Care Coordinator in obtaining proper paperwork, locations and times of resident appointments.
Familiarize yourself with the residents and their individual needs.
Maintaining the bus, which includes keeping the bus clean, filled with gas, and reporting any repairs and up keep needs to the Administrator.
Other duties as specified by the Administrator or Assistant Administrator.
This position requires orientation to CALSON MANAGEMENT, its policies and procedures, physical plant grounds, lay out and the residents.

Assist Maintenance Director while not operating the bus.

Conduct Fire Drills and provide documentation and remedies/training for issues of concern (monthly on each scheduled shift).
Maintains records in an orderly fashion regarding all services performed on community equipment, Resident’s apartments, common areas and grounds.
Knowledge on maintaining maintenance records for the community and reporting to the Administrator on a regular basis.
The ability to communicate with all vendors and sub-contractors.

Maintains and keeps facility building, parking lot, and grounds in good working order which includes but not limited to the following:

Maintain furnace/AC filters
Maintain Residents’ apartments in good working order
Clean/Shampoo carpets and upholstery as needed
Alarm Systems
Other duties as specified by the Administrator or Assistant Administrator.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

Due to our Licensing we are required to have a clear LiveScan clean of convictions or active arrests for all of our employees in order to be hired.

The LiveScan is required when applicants are candidates for positions that place them in a position of trust for some of California’s most vulnerable citizens, including elderly and dependent adults and children, it is vital for the licensing authority to be aware of convictions or active arrests to avoid exposing clients in care to unnecessary harm.

We will pay for this and help you set up the appointment.

If you have had a LiveScan in the past 2 years please let us know.

Must have a TB test and we ask that you get a flu shot.

Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days after employment. This certification must verify that has no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem, which could interfere with the individual’s job performance

All employees are expected to report to work on time or give the administrator sufficient notice (i.e. minimum of 4 hours).
Reliable transportation and punctuality are absolutely mandatory.
The bus driver must have a valid California Driver’s License
Must have a clean driving record as per the insurance carrier’s policy. * A current DMV printout is required.*
This person understands that CALSON MANAGEMENT operates as a Drug Free Workplace per Policies set forth in the Company Handbook and that they may be drug tested.
