RESPONSIBILITIES: This position determines client eligibility for child care services and maintains an ongoing subsidy caseload. Duties include interviewing new applicants in the intake process as well as determining initial eligibility and completing redeterminations annually or as needed due to changes in client circumstances. Also, issuing Child Care vouchers to eligible clients and notifying clients and child care providers of changes. Work involves direct contact with parents who are in need of subsidized child care for their children, various businesses, employers, community agencies, child care providers and others to gather information, verify eligibility factors, determine income and eligibility and to assist with determining a plan of care for the child. This position requires good interview skills as well as proficiency in computer skills and keyboarding and skill in mathematics and mathematical computations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Income Maintenance Caseworker II - One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Income Maintenance Caseworker I - An Associate Degree in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or a closely related curriculum; graduation from high school and two years paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling data and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks with at least one year of such experience being in an income maintenance program; or graduation from high school and three years paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling data and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

HIRING RATE: IMC II - $35,833 - $58,718
IMC I - $33,117 - $53,689
Pay: $35,833.00 - $58,718.00 per year
