Full Job Description

The Jr BSA Analyst is an entry-level individual contributor who supports both the AML Monitoring and KYC/CDD functions under the oversight and direction of the SVP/BSA AML Officer . This position assists with alert and exception monitoring, customer due diligence reviews, onboarding-related requests, and administrative support for the BSA/KYC/CDD Unit. The role provides exposure to financial crime compliance, customer onboarding processes, and regulatory requirements while developing foundational skills in banking compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties and/or tasks might be assigned a needed.

AML Monitoring Support – Review AML monitoring alerts and profile exceptions generated by automated monitoring systems for potential unusual or suspicious activity; analyze customer accounts and transactions to determine whether activity is consistent with the customer’s profile, expected activity, and nature of business; gather and organize supporting information from internal systems and available resources to assist senior analysts in the review process; document findings in accordance with established procedures; escalate matters requiring additional review; and assist with information-sharing requests and other financial intelligence processes under department procedures.

KYC/CDD and Customer Onboarding Support – Assist the KYC/CDD Unit with Customer Identification Program (CIP) reviews, documentation validation, and quality reviews of customer records to ensure required onboarding information is complete and properly maintained; support the processing and tracking of Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), ACH origination, Treasury Management services, and other onboarding-related requests; assist with periodic customer profile updates, due diligence reviews, remediation activities, and maintenance of tracking logs for certifications and approvals; and coordinate with branch personnel, Treasury Management, Deposit Operations, and account officers to obtain required information or documentation.

Professional Development – Complete mandatory training courses within required timelines. Pursue and attend webinars, seminars and conferences that are relevant to duties and responsibilities. Remain up to date on BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and industry developments.

Other Tasks and Special Projects - Assist with additional duties and special projects assigned by the Manager. Strategic initiatives or special tasks may be assigned by the Department or the Division head from time to time.
