Full Job Description

The Test Engineer II is an experienced professional responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of software, hardware, or other products. They work closely with the development team to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the product.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract .

The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Secret level.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential D uties and responsibilities include the following . Other duties may be assigned.

Develop s and execute s comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.

Conduct s functional, regression, performance, and security testing on software applications.

Identif ies and report s defects or issues found during testing and track them to resolution.

Collaborate s with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.

Participate s in test plan reviews and provide feedback for improvements.

Develop s and maintain automated test scripts using testing tools.

Conduct s compatibility testing on different platforms, browsers, and devices.

Perform s root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for improvement.

Mentor s junior test engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices.

Stay s updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.

E DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree and two to four ( 2 - 4 ) years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus . Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic .
