Full Job Description

The EMS Manager provides administrative and operational leadership for EMS services in Douglas and Glenrock. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality ambulance response, oversees staffing, regulatory compliance, resource management, and fosters collaboration with staff, providers, and public safety agencies to optimize patient care and community relations.

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, emergency management, or a related field preferred.
Current Paramedic certification required; must maintain eligibility for Wyoming Paramedic licensure.
Minimum 5 years of EMS field experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
In-depth knowledge of Wyoming EMS regulations and national standards.
Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and performance management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure scenarios.
Proficient in EMS documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and basic office technology

Oversee and coordinate daily EMS operations for ambulance response in Douglas and Glenrock.
Supervise, train, and evaluate EMTs, AEMTs, paramedics, and supervisory staff, including performance reviews and appropriate coaching or corrective action.
Manage scheduling and staffing levels to guarantee 24/7 coverage and response standards.
Develop, monitor, and manage operating and capital budgets; allocate resources and control expenditures.
Ensure maintenance, readiness, and timely replacement of ambulances, support vehicles, and EMS equipment.
Monitor and enforce compliance with Wyoming EMS regulations, licensure requirements, and national standards.
Lead EMS quality improvement efforts, including data review, clinical performance monitoring, and program initiatives.
Collaborate with clinical leaders, healthcare providers, and external public safety agencies to improve service delivery and system performance.
Implement strategic plans for service expansion, operational efficiency, and community outreach.
Ensure ongoing education, training, certification, and clinical competency for all EMS staff.
Participate in hospital and community committees related to emergency response and preparedness.
Model and enforce professional standards of conduct, confidentiality, and service excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
