Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer – Atlanta, GA | Days | 5x8s | Up to $2,200/Week

Location: Atlanta, GA
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Contract: 10 weeks
Schedule: Days | 5x8s | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate

Pay

Weekly Pay: Up to $2,200/week
Blended Rate: Up to $55/hour
Taxable Rate: Up to $25/hour
Travel Stipend: Up to $1,200/week
Local Rate: $55/hour

Position Highlights

Travel Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
Day shift
40 hours/week
5 years of experience required – HARD STOP
First-time travelers accepted
High-volume structural echo lab
Adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
Approximately 8 TTEs per 10-hour shift
Epic preferred
Block scheduling available
Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
Call required – approximately 1 week of call twice during a 13-week contract
Maximum RTO: 7 days
High-volume structural echo experience required
TEE, stress echo, complete TTE, 3D and Strain
Lumason contrast experience
Inpatient, ICU, and outpatient experience
Preliminary report entry
Local candidates accepted at same rate

HARD STOP Requirements

Minimum 5 years of Echo/Cardiac Sonographer experience is required.

Candidates must have structural echo experience, including:

TAVRs
Mitral Clips
MVRs
TVRs
ASD closures

Experience with the following is also highly relevant:

LVAD
Impella
ECMO

Required Certifications

BLS
CCI RCS or RDCS
ARRT – Sonography / GA license preferred

Additional Information

High-volume structural echo lab
Supports inpatient, ICU, and outpatient populations
Case load is approximately 8 TTEs per 10-hour shift
Call required
Floating required within facility/scope of practice
Maximum RTO: 7 days per contract
ALL RTO must be finalized at time of submission
No RTO or schedule requests can be added after offer or onsite
No RTO during orientation week
If 1–2 major holidays fall during the assignment, traveler is expected to work them
If 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, traveler is expected to work 2
Core onboarding items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
Compliance documents due Tuesday prior to start
Full compliance required to maintain start date
Modules are non-billable and factored into NBO
COVID vaccine not required
Flu requirement not specified
Orientation hours are non-billable and determined by contract length
