Position Summary
This role is a full time Medical Office Front Desk position with Medical Assistant experience for our Newark office. The position requires possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and offer a high level of attention to detail. Certified Medical Assistant is preferred, but familiarity with medical terminology and EMR is necessary for success.

Greet patients when they arrive with a friendly demeanor

Schedule, cancel and reschedule patient appointments

Print out electronic orders for patients

Submit prior authorization requests

Scan and upload documents to the patient's electronic medical record

Ability to competently handle patient calls coming through on a multi-line phone system

Optimize patient satisfaction through excellent customer service skills

Utilize a multi-line phone system, fax machine, printer, copier and scanner

Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma required

Two years of Medical Assistant experience required

Certified Medical Assistant preferred

CPR Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Work consistent with HIPPA and OSHA regulation.

General knowledge of nursing and health care terminology.

Excellent patient care skills.
- Effectively communicate with patients, as well as healthcare professionals.
Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

May require extended periods of walking and standing.
- Occasionally requires the ability to push wheelchair-bound patients to exam rooms.
- Able to carry up to 45lbs frequently, and 50lbs occasionally.
- Able to bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
