Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help bring complex projects to life, from interpreting technical drawings to executing high-quality welds on various metal materials. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and mechanical knowledge are highly valued. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional fabrication work that meets industry standards.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding processes.
Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes.
Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Operate rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely on construction sites or within fabrication shops.
Cut, shape, assemble, and weld ductwork, piping, metal sheets, and structural components following safety protocols at all times.
Use forklift or machining tools as needed for material handling or component fabrication tasks.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations throughout all phases of fabrication and welding projects.

Experience

Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
Hands-on experience with metal fabrication in a shop environment or on construction sites.
Skilled in interpreting mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and ASME or AWS standards related to welding and fabrication.
Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and plasma cutting.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work.
Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, soldering, rigging operations, machining processes, and assembly procedures.
Ability to operate power tools safely while following strict safety protocols; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
Prior experience working with sheet metal materials and ductwork fabrication is highly desirable.
