Tool & Die Machinist
Location: Dover, NJ
Shift: First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Compensation: $30-$45/hour

Position Summary:

Arc Adaptive Machining Solutions is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team in Dover, NJ. The Tool & Die Maker will support precision machining operations by designing, building, modifying, and repairing fixtures, dies, and tools to meet exacting specifications. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship and a solid understanding of machining and fabrication techniques. This is a full-time, first-shift position (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday).

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and engineering specifications to determine tooling requirements.
Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (e.g., lathes, grinders, mills, EDM) to fabricate tools and dies.
Inspect finished tools and dies for accuracy and precision, using precision measuring instruments.
Maintain and repair tools and dies to ensure continuous production support.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tooling designs for efficiency and manufacturability.
Maintain records of tool builds, repairs, and modifications.
Adhere to all safety procedures and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Tool & Die trade school program or apprenticeship is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and GD&T.
Skilled in the use of manual machining equipment and basic CNC operation.
Familiarity with wire EDM processes is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise.

Additional Information:
