Full Job Description

Role Overview - Back of House Team Member

Our kitchen is the heart of our restaurant. While you’ll work directly for an independent Owner/Operator, you’ll also gain life and workplace skills that go far beyond preparing great food. Back of House Team Members help ensure every guest receives the fresh, high-quality meals and signature care that make Chick-fil-A special. You’ll be part of a supportive team, learn our systems, and contribute to serving our community with excellence every day.

Role Type: Full-time and Part-time

Reports to: Shift Leader

Availability & Scheduling

Full-Time: Typically scheduled 35-45 hours / week with availability for a mix of opening and closing shifts
Part-Time: Typically scheduled 15-20 hours / week with availability for a mix of opening and closing shifts
Shift Windows: Day 5 AM–5 PM | Night 2 PM–11 PM
Flexibility: Schedules may vary to support the team during peak times
Compliance: All schedules follow labor laws for minors

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards
Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations, including fries, breading, assembling, boards, and food prep
Stock kitchen inventory as needed
Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times
Keep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-A
Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to Leadership
Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes
Complete all opening or closing tasks as assigned
Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
Other duties as assigned
