Full Job Description

Overview:

Marlite is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data across various functions. Additionally, the candidate will provide support and backup for monthly sales and use tax filings, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

This position offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for career growth for individuals eager to learn and expand their expertise in accounting and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals within the accounting system.
Conduct reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages.
Complete ad hoc financial reporting projects as needed.
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist in coordinating the annual external audit, ensuring timely execution.
Contribute to the year-end financial close process.
Manage monthly sales and use tax filings with a focus on accuracy, organization, and maintaining reliable documentation for the process.
Support and back-up the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Sales and Use tax experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
